Valerie is the Managing Partner and head of the family department within Crellins Carter. Coming from a background in commercial law and now with over 25 years experience within matrimonial law, she brings significant knowledge and skill to all aspects of family law within Crellins Carter. She has considerable experience of large money disputes including offshore elements and fund tracing. She negotiates complex financial settlements as well as day to day financial disputes. Her other areas of expertise are all matters relating to children, particularly contact and residence disputes, cohabitee disputes, living together and pre-nuptial agreements and civil partnership matters.
The majority of Valerie’s work is by referral from clients and she enjoys an extensive reputation for family and matrimonial work.
Valerie is on the Law Society’s Family Law Panel, a member of Resolution and the Law Society and a trained collaborative lawyer. She is a keen tennis player and has been Ladies’ Captain and the first lady Chairman of St. George’s Hill Lawn Tennis Club. She is now trying to master the art of golf. Other interests are theatre and travel.
